Agentic Process RedesignAdvise → Build

We redesign existing processes around what agents can now execute. Step by step, we define what an agent can do, where people remain responsible, how systems participate, what happens when a case leaves the standard path, and what evidence the process needs to produce. The result is a target process designed to be built, governed and operated in a bank or insurer.

The design problem

Today’s processes were designed around human execution.

Queues, hand-offs, manual checks and documentation steps exist because people have traditionally moved work from one stage to the next. When agents can gather information, perform checks, use tools and act in systems, that logic changes.

Some steps disappear. Others move earlier in the process. New design questions emerge: when can an agent proceed autonomously, when must it escalate, what evidence must it produce, and where does a person retain the decision?

Adding an agent to the existing workflow captures only a fraction of the opportunity. The process itself needs to be redesigned around the new division of work.

How we design it

We start with the process as it operates today: volumes, case types, systems, decisions, exceptions, controls and the points where work waits or changes hands. Together with the people who know the process, we identify what is routine, what requires judgement and where the economics of the work can materially change.

We then design the target process step by step. For each activity, we define who or what acts, which information and tools are available, what can happen autonomously, where approval or judgement is required and what the next actor needs to see. We also design the exception paths: missing information, low confidence, conflicting evidence, system failures and cases outside the agent’s authority.

Finally, we validate the design against your architecture, data, controls and regulatory requirements. The result is a specification covering the process, roles, decision rights, agent responsibilities, interfaces, controls and success criteria, detailed enough to move directly into Build.

What you get

A process designed for people, agents and systems.

A complete target design for how the work should operate: what agents execute, where people decide, how exceptions move, how systems interact and which controls apply. Detailed enough for business, risk and engineering to work from the same design.

/01

Target process

The redesigned journey from first input to completion, including the standard path, exception paths and the hand-offs between people, agents and systems.

/02

Decision rights & agent responsibilities

For every critical step: who acts, what an agent may decide, where approval is required, what evidence is needed and when the case moves to a person.

/03

Build-ready specification

Interfaces, data requirements, controls, evaluation criteria and success metrics, defined clearly enough to move into implementation without redesigning the process again.
