AI Strategy & Operating ModelAdvise

We help banks and insurers decide where AI should change the business, what capabilities that requires and how to sequence the transition. We work from your value streams, economics and current operating model rather than from a catalogue of AI use cases, and translate the strategy into concrete investment decisions and a roadmap that can move into delivery.

The decisions

Strategy is a list of decisions, not a list of possibilities.

AI creates more possibilities than any organisation can pursue. The strategic work is deciding where the operating model should change, which capabilities should be built internally, what should be bought or partnered, and which investments should happen first. Without those choices, AI strategy becomes a growing portfolio of pilots rather than a direction for the business.

How we develop it

We start with the business: strategic priorities, value streams, economics, customer and operational pain points, and the capabilities already in place. We identify where AI can materially change how work is performed and what that means for processes, roles, technology, data and control.

From there, we make the choices explicit. Which areas justify investment? What should be centralised and what should sit in the business? Which capabilities should you own, buy or partner for? What architecture and governance foundations are required? And in what sequence can the organisation move without creating another portfolio of disconnected pilots?

The result is a strategy that connects business ambition to an executable transformation path: target operating model, investment priorities, capability roadmap and the first initiatives ready to move into Advise and Build.

What you get

A direction the organisation can act on.

A clear view of where AI should change the business, what capabilities the target operating model requires and which investments move first, translated into decisions your leadership team can fund and your organisation can execute.

/01

Strategic priorities

A quantified view of where AI can materially change cost, growth, speed or capacity, and where investment is not justified.

/02

Target operating model

How people, agents and systems should work together, where capabilities sit in the organisation and what changes in roles, decision rights and ownership.

/03

Capability & investment roadmap

The sequence of capabilities, platforms and initiatives required to move from today’s environment to the target model, including build, buy and partner decisions.

/04

Architecture & governance direction

The principles for models, data, architecture, controls and ownership that allow individual implementations to scale without creating a new fragmented landscape.

Get started

Start with the decisions.

Tell us where your organisation stands with AI and which decisions are open: where to invest, what to build, buy or partner for, and how to organise it. In a 45-minute working session, we discuss your situation and what a strategy engagement would need to answer.
